The Love queen of Malabar" tells the story of Madhavikkutty . The award winning author Merrily Wiesbord spent 10 years with Madhavikkutty to prepare this book. Here Madhavikkutty talks frankly about her life, love affair, conversion to Islam and her life after conversion. "I am tired of being Suriya. I want to be Madhavikkutty again" ...but she didn't fearing reprisals from Muslim groups. A person is free to choose or leave a religion but Madhavikkutty had death threats from Hindu groups after conversion to Islam. Later she experienced the same from Islamic groups for speaking up her mind. She also talks about her husband who had sent her to superiors and minister for promotions in the banking sector. She became celibate at the early age of 45 because of disgust with her husband Das 's homosexual behaviour which he kept throughout their controversial marriage. Madhavikkutty's "My Story" was a controversial book but that only said half the story. Here in this book we read her own version of her life. So Madhavikkutty is triumphant over everyone who tried to control her life through religion etc. This is the last and definitive version of Madhavikkutty 's life. Manambur Suresh presents the book at Kattankaappiyum Kavithayum - the Malayalam literary evening - on Friday 11 - May 2012. Malayalee Association of the UK paid tribute to late Dr.Sukumar Azhikode at a function held at Froud Centre, Manor park, London. “Our mash is there, he will take care of this” people of Kerala had this reassurance in their mind in crisis points, that is what we lost said Priyavrithan opening the literary evening. “Sukumar Azhikode was the conscience of Kerala. He was standing there with his red board to warn them to `stop` from anti-social thoughts and activities, That is what we are missing today” said Manambur Suresh of Kerala Kaumudi, Europe section. The function was organised by ‘Kattan Kaappiyum Kavithayum’, the Malayalam literary wing of Malayalee Association of the UK. The contributions made by Azhikode to both Malayalam literature and Kerala society were well acknowledged  throughout the discussions. Three books were presented to the audience as a part of the event. ‘Thatvamasi’ is a gateway to our great tradition, a tradition which embraced all religions with open arms. That was the greatness of Upanishath. Some western critics questioned the validity of it because they couldn’t comprehend such an ancient knowledge existed without their knowledge. That is due to their Eurocentric perception” said A Francis presenting ‘Thatvamasi’”.   Manambur Suresh presented ‘Sukumar Azhikodinte Sambhashanangal’ edited from interviews by PV Murukan. Highlighting the thoughts of Azhikodu, Suresh said we are thankful to these books because of these  Sukumar Azhikodu will be with us for a long time to come. Sugathan Thekkepura presented ‘Sukumar Azhikodinte Athmakadha’ and detailed the work and life of Sukumar Azhikodu. Francis Angilose presenting 'Thatvamasi'   Manambur Suresh presenting 'Sukumar Azhikodinte Sambhashanangal'   Sugathan Thekkepura presenting 'Sukumar Azhikodinte Athmakadha’
